With heaps of snow and fun-filled activities, Banff National Park knows how to do winter best! Celebrate this exciting season with the 3rd Annual SnowDays, a month-long festival jam-packed with mid-week events and weekend festivals that celebrate Banff’s historic love for winter.
Mountain Adventure Weekend, brings you an adrenaline rush with exhilarating outdoor activities, mountain films and stories with legendary mountaineers. If you’re looking for a taste of what skiing and snowboarding is all about, join the snow schools of Mt. Norquay, Lake Louise, & Sunshine Village at Slide and Ride in the Park, downtown Banff! Certified instructors will create a winter playground and introduce you to all the fun. This program is free and all equipment is provided.
Ice Magic Festival, returns with two weekends of world-class ice carving at Lake Louise.
Celebrate FIS World Snow Day, with free skiing and snowboarding for kids (12 and under) at Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village and the Lake Louise Ski Area! (some conditions apply).
Take It To The Street, tops it all off. Experience the quintessentially Canadian game with this annual 3 on 3 ball hockey tournament. Whether you’re watching from the sidelines or facing off at centre “street”, this tournament promises some bonding time with friends and family, complete with a healthy dose of rivalry!
Create your own winter adventure by pairing a weekend festival with ongoing activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, Geocaching or a sleigh ride, just to mention a few! Finish off your day with delicious après-ski eats by a crackling fire, then lace up your skates for some gliding under the stars on Banff’s downtown ice rink.
