ENDLESS MAGIC AT ITS COOLEST!

Experience Lake Louise at its finest during the Ice Magic Festival, January 16 – 25, 2015.  At this world class event with 20 years under its belt, you will experience the incredible talent of international ice carvers as they delicately balance grueling physical labour with precision artistry in a 34 hour International Ice Carving Competition. This year’s ‘Wonders of the World’ theme promises to be the most spectacular competition yet!

Overwhelming success over past years has required us to create ticketed viewing time-slots for the carving site at peak times to manage crowds and ensure you have the best possible experience and go home with unforgettable memories.  There's also a whole host of fun free activities available throughout both Ice Magic weekends as a bonus to your Ice Magic ticket. Please be aware that prime viewing times will sell out quickly so don't be disappointed and get your tickets today!

Here's how it works: 

  • Weekend Time slots for Carving Viewing from 9:00am - 5:30pm - TICKETS REQUIRED

        *Tickets:

          Adults $10 (18 - 54 years)
          Children $5 (3 - 17 years)
          Seniors $5 (55 + years)
          Family $25 (2 adults + up to 4 children aged 3 - 17 years)

        *Tickets can be purchased online or onsite at Samson Mall & outside the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise near the pathway leading to the lake.   
            Be sure to purchase your tickets early to avoid sold-out prime time slots! Also be aware that 11:00am - 3:00pm has been extremely busy in the past and could mean longer shuttle bus wait times.  

  • Weekdays, Weekends before 9:00am and after 5:30pm free carving viewing
  • Staying overnight at a Lake Louise hotel? NO TICKET PURCHASE IS REQUIRED - Book your accommodation today and don't miss out!
  • Marvel at the finished sculptures from January 26th onwards for free
