BANFF
Mountaineering Camp (Wednesdays-Saturdays in Banff Avenue Square):
Picture yourself atop a mountain in downtown Banff! Try on a variety of mountaineering gear and take your photo in front of a giant alpine backdrop. Sample some alpine treats, help build a cairn, and learn about the rich history of mountaineering in Banff National Park.
First Nations Drumming and Dancing Performances (Saturdays in Banff Avenue Square during July and August):
Feel the beat of the drum as you watch a group of First Nations perform traditional dances in full regalia. This is a great opportunity to learn about First Nations culture firsthand!
LAKE LOUISE
Historical Walking Tours (Tuesdays and Sundays, meet on the stone platform in front of the Lake Louise shoreline at 11:30, 12:30, 2:30 & 3:30):
Learn about the natural and human history of Lake Louise - part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site! The tour also visits the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Deer Lodge for an inside look at the architectural history of these incredible buildings.
