Tunnel Mountain Interpretive Guided Hike

LOCATION: 

Meet at Banff Avenue Square (208 Banff Avenue, across from the Grizzly House restaurant).

DATE/TIME:

Sundays from June 22 through September 7. Meet at 1:15pm. Hike departs at 1:30pm sharp.

Fridays from June 27 to September 12. Meet at 5:15pm. Hike departs at 5:30pm sharp. 

PRICE: 

$15 per person.

CAPACITY: 

12 people per hike, minimum 8 years old.

DIFFICULTY: 

Easy-Moderate. 6km (3.7 miles) return trip. 260m (853 feet) elevation gain.

DESCRIPTION:

A favourite of locals and visitors alike, Tunnel Mountain is an easy first summit with spectacular panoramic views. The trail is well maintained, nicely graded and accessible right from the townsite.  What makes this hike particularly unique are the stories hidden in the landscape. We’ll uncover some of these stories so you can see how Banff’s wild nature is a lot closer than you might think!

Approximately 2.5 hours return trip.
