Ski Hills
One of the greatest attractions Banff offers during the winter is our world-renowned skiing and snowboarding. Ski Big 3 members are composed of Norquay, Sunshine, and the Lake Louise Ski Area.
Not only does our ski season run for more than 5 months, it also boasts a rich history of early skiing. Early Swiss guides were instrumental in introducing visitors to the potential of skiing, eventually leading to the opening of the first ski hill in Banff National Park, Norquay, in 1926. Since that time, thousands of visitors have gone on to enjoy the incredible terrain and learn about the early pioneers of this mountain sport.
