Mandate

Objectives
(a)  To operate as a destination marketing organization for the purpose of promoting the places, services, products and attractions of the Town of Banff, the community of Lake Louise, and Banff National Park;
(b)  To establish and maintain a central, member based tourism organization to enhance the position of Banff, Lake Louise and Banff National Park as a preferred year-round mountain destination resort;
(c)  To coordinate the efforts of private firms, public sector agencies, and community groups which have an interest in the marketing and development of tourism within Banff, Lake Louise and Banff National Park;
(d)  To enhance and improve the experience of visitors to Banff, Lake Louise and Banff National Park;
(e)  To support the interests of the tourism industry in Banff, Lake Louise and Banff National Park; and,
(f)  To encourage the adoption of heritage tourism values by the tourism industry in Banff, Lake Louise and Banff National Park.
(g)  To fulfil the Objects of the Bureau by: implementing mandatory financial contributions rule applicable to some or all of the Members; by providing destination marketing services, visitor experience and visitor information services to third parties; by accepting grants and donations from third parties or, by other means.

Banff Lake Louise Tourism is a membership based organization dedicated to the promotion of Banff, Lake Louise and Banff National Park as a world class year round destination.  Founded and funded by its members, BLLT’s organizational history demonstrates the destination’s commitment to tourism marketing.

Strategic Planning - Banff Lake Louise Tourism will have regular and ongoing strategic planning processes which will provide guidance and direction for the creation of an annual business plan; including both strategic and operational components.
