Located on the shoulder of Tunnel Mountain near the Town of Banff, this openly treed campground offers a more traditional camping experience with mountain views, fireboxes for cooking, and easy access to walking and biking trails. You can walk or take the bus to downtown Banff. Services, such as food, laundry and a waterslide are close by. Evening interpretive programs are offered during the summer season.
Sites: Each of the 618 campsites has a picnic table and most have fireboxes. RVs up to 7 metres (24 feet) in length can be accommodated. A maximum 6 people, 2 tents and 2 vehicles are allowed per site. All tents and vehicles must be set up or parked on the gravel area of the campsite.
Services: The washrooms have hot and cold running water, flush toilets and showers. There is a sani-dump.
Regulations: There is an alcohol and fire ban in effect from 2300 - 0700 every day and a complete alcohol ban on long weekends. The maximum stay is 14 days.
Fees: $27.40 per site per night with no fire and $36.20 per site per night with a fire. Wood is provided. Not all sites have fireboxes. Payment is with cash, traveller's cheques, debit, Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
