Located just minutes from the Town of Banff, this campground is perfect for families, backpackers, people needing space for larger units and/or people wanting power without full hook-ups. It is close to local attractions and offers mountain views, year-round camping, a bus service to town and access to hiking and biking trails. Evening interpretive programs are offered during the summer season.
Sites: Each of the 188 campsites has picnic tables and electrical hook-ups. Some also have fireboxes. The 34 walk-in sites all have picnic tables and fireboxes. RVs over 12 metres (+40 feet) in length can be accommodated. A maximum of 6 people and 2 vehicles are permitted on each site. All tents and vehicles must be set up or parked on the gravel area of the campsite.
Services: The washrooms have hot and cold running water and flush toilets. There is a central shower building and a sani-dump. Picnic shelters can be found throughout the campground as well as food lockers for walk-in campers.
Regulations: There is an alcohol and fire ban in effect from 2300 - 0700 every day and a complete alcohol ban on long weekends. The maximum stay is 14 days.
Fees: $27.40 per site per night with no power, $32.30 with power. There is an additional fee of $8.80 per night for a fire. Wood is provided. Payment is with cash, traveller's cheque, debit, Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
