When you're hiking in the Canadian Rockies you can expect to see some wildlife - you don't always see the big wildlife but look for the little critters too, they are all over the place. You can also expect to see big-big scenery that's constantly changing - gorgeous lakes everywhere, glaciers, snow capped peaks. Tips for beginner hikers - be mindful that the weather can change very quickly. Dress in layers so that you can be comfortable in all kinds of weather. Hiking poles help a lot too.
