Canada's first national park is home to a variety of distinctive natural features as well as numerous cultural and historical sites. Banff National Park is part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.

Visitors to the national parks must purchase a park entry permit, available at park gates and visitor centres in Banff and Lake Louise.
