Banff Fly Fishing Guide, Big Jim Banff's resident fly fishing guide, welcomes you to guided fly fishing and spin fishing trips along the Bow River downstream of Banff Alberta. Our client friendly fishing trips include G. Loomis fly and spin rods, Wardell breathable waders, Redington Skagit wading boots, all the flies, leaders, lures and tackle, spare rain and bomber jackets, lunch, transportation and entertaining guide.

We walk and wade the Bow River about 20 minutes downstream of Banff. The walk in is short (5-15 minutes) along a flat trail and the wading is ankle to knee deep in calm water. We often fish more than one location on any given day and are angling towards some fine trout; mostly browns but some cutties, brookies, whities and Bull trout too! Sizes range from 10 inchers to some monsters in the 24+ inch range.

Our first stop in the morning is the JK Bakery for some fresh coffee and pastry. While the staff are preparing our ala carte lunch we jump in our waders and off into the wild blue waters a fishing we go! Half days are from 4-6.5 hours and full days go more than 8 hours. The company can accommodate one to four anglers per trip. All guided fishing trips are private. Your own cap and sunglasses are handy but we have spares if needed.

Phone Big Jim at 1 403 678-7980 to book your fun fishing trip or drop us a line via email at BigJim@BanffFlyFishingGuides.com . Thank You.

Ice fishing season out at our heated fishing lodge on Spray Lake starts at the end of December and goes till early April. Last year's catch in pictures can be viewed at www.BanffFishingGuides.com . That same site has a help page for purchasing your one day Alberta Provincial Fishing License.

Let's go fishing!

Regards

Jim Dykstra Owner/Guide.
