This is a once-in-a-lifetime and truly Canadian activity you won’t want to miss. As part of your experience, you will meet the dogs and become acquainted with these little engines that pull the sled. For added excitement, try mushing the sled yourself and guiding a team of dogs down the trail!

Choose Your Winter Excursion

Several dogsledding companies are available in the area and offer a variety of excursions, including half-hour, half-day and full day tours. Depending on the length of your journey, some tours include a delicious gourmet lunch of beef jerky, cheese, dried fruit and a hot beverage.

Summer Programs

Some operators offer an opportunity to visit them in summer, too! Join them for a tour of their kennels, cuddle with some adorable baby huskies and learn more about the tradition of dog sledding through demonstrations of both old and new equipment.
