Discover Banff Tours

Offering visitors the opportunity to experience Banff to the fullest, we offer tour operators the option of adding and selling daily tours to their itinerary. Considered “add-on” tours, our wide range of products includes local attractions and evening outings.

Discover Banff Tours Evening Wildlife Safari
Starting in the evening, our most popular tour focuses on wildlife management while searching for photo opportunities. This tour does not affect most daytime itineraries and is the perfect add-on to anyone’s visit.

Mount Norquay’s Sightseeing Chairlift offers magnificent views just on the edge of town. A short trip from local hotels, they offer a complimentary shuttle and a newly renovated bistro at the top. Opened last summer, this is the latest and greatest attraction here in Banff (#1 on TripAdvisor).

Both of these options are able to be purchased in advanced or sold onboard the day of the tour, offering tour operators the flexibly of adding this value to their already fantastic itineraries.

Tour operator programs - Unique, custom and private for your group
These tour add-ons are designed exclusively for your group to enjoy as a scheduled portion of their visit to Banff. Being private, this allows the group to take full advantage of their needs (ex. translator) without being concerned for the general public.

A great example is Holiday on Horseback’s new “Mini-Ranch Tour”.
See behind the scenes of a working horseback outfitter. See and pet the horses, learn about what it takes to be a cowboy and enjoy snacks and refreshments on this private tour!

New Tour - Discover the Night Sky

Star-Gazing in the Rocky Mountains Long after our stores have served their last customers, hotels are full for the evening and our restaurants have closed their doors. Banff continues to amaze and inspire a lucky few.

The Rocky Mountain National Parks have a dark side. Each night, far from settlement lights, we bask in the glow of millions upon millions of celestial bodies in the soft light of the night sky allowing our imagination to transport us to faraway worlds and, if we’re lucky, sit lakeside in awe one of Nature’s greatest shows, the Northern Lights.

Our knowledgeable and engaging night-time guiding team will escort you away from the Banff Town site to our favourite locations, well known amongst our resident photographers for offering clear skies and the opportunity to get up close and personal with the stars. If you have a camera and a tripod, bring them along! Our staff have experience and knowledge in Astro-Photography and will happily provide tips and advice on achieving those beautiful Milky Way shots.

With telescopic equipment available to use, we will guide you through the constellations, offer glimpses at the planets and maybe even spy a meteor or two amongst some of the most beautiful scenes in the Canadian skies. Please contact your chosen Receptive Tour Operator or Discover Banff Tours directly for more information.
