Banff Heritage Tourism and the Banff Heritage Corporation has teamed up to host a Celebration & Reception at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies to recognize seven organizations and individuals who have done an exemplary job of incorporating heritage values into their business practices and personal endeavours.
Banff Heritage Tourism will recognize three businesses that have either created a new, innovative and effective product that is consistent with the national park and World Heritage Site or have shown an outstanding commitment to the long term training of staff to become informed ambassadors for Banff National Park. Banff Heritage Tourism will also recognize one individual who has done an extraordinary job of creating awareness of heritage tourism values throughout the community.
The Banff Heritage Corporation will present two awards, one for a lifetime achievement in heritage conservation and one for restoration, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of a heritage building.
Finally, Mountain Parks Heritage Interpretation Association will provide recognition to one individual who has demonstrated excellence in interpreting the natural and cultural heritage of the Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park.
The Reception is open to the general public and everyone is welcome.
