Join us in Banff National Park as we celebrate Canada's treasured parks and sites with FREE fun-filled activities.
On Saturday July 19th, Parks Canada along with the tourism industry will celebrate Parks Day with an exciting event in the heart of Banff National Park.

Set against the backdrop of the spectacular mountain landscape, locals, Parks Canada staff and guests will share stories, and connect you with the experiences in the park that shaped their lives and nurtured their deep appreciation for Banff National Park.
Canada's parks and sites are treasures chests full of fun and excitement. What are you waiting for - get out and explore!
On-site Activities:
Horns and Antlers- 11:30am
The greatest poets continually refer to antlers as "horns". A park interpreter will help you resolve this common misconception through fun games and a chance to handle horns and antler displays as you will learn more about Banff's deer, sheep and goats.
Parks Canada Fire Crew Demonstration- 12:00pm
Interact with the Banff National Park Fire Crew during our Fire Crew Demo and discover why fire is important to maintain the delicate ecosystems in Banff National Park.
Faces of Fire- 1:00pm
Join Parks Canada's award-winning theatre company Mountain WIT at Parks Day for Faces of Fire. Performed by Mountain WIT, this family-friendly hour of interpretive theatre takes you into the heart of wildfire in the Mountain National Parks.
Wildlife Hockey- 2:00-2:30pm
Animals need overpasses to sustain life and travel through the park without interruptions. Play a game of Wildlife Hockey and get the animals to the other side of the TransCanada highway.
Brewster's Ice Explorer- on-going from 11-3pm
Mountain-top glaciers are a vital link in sustaining our environment. Join Brewster staff and learn about the glacier experience available on one of the two ice fields that feeds three Canadian river systems.

• 9th Annual Sanson Stroll up Sulphur Mountain
• Tea in the historic Cascade of Times gardens
• Take the best photo shot! Join a guided walk for photographers at the Cave and Basin National Historic Site of Canada.
