After the tremendous success of 2009, a third Tasting Session has been added to the schedule of events. Spend an entire weekend celebrating fine wine and gourmet food by experiencing the Grand Tasting Hall on Friday and Saturday along with the multitude of Weekend Wine Events and Late Night Celebrations offered throughout the weekend.

The Banff Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival Grand Tasting Hall offers the finest in local cuisine prepared by some of the top Banff and Lake Louise restaurants and hotels along with an extensive selection of unique wines, high quality ports, fine single-malt scotch, imported beer and premium spirits. The festival’s ticket provides entrance into the Grand Tasting Hall at The Fairmont Banff Springs to either the afternoon tasting from 2:00 to 5:00pm on Saturday May 8th or to your choice of two, three-hour evening events starting at 7:00pm on either Friday or Saturday night. Beginners, intermediates, and connoisseurs will have the rare opportunity to learn more about their favourites from industry experts in a casual and social atmosphere.

A variety of other special wine and food themed Weekend Events will be hosted throughout Banff, May 7, 8 & 9, by local restaurants and hotels. Wine experts and chefs will be on hand as you nosh and nibble on fresh gourmet cuisine inspired from around the globe.

This year, the Banff Grand Tasting Hall will feature three tasting sessions over two days! Hundreds of Albertans will make their way to The Fairmont Banff Springs on May 7th & 8th. The Grand Tasting Hall will be comprised of two tasting areas – the President's Hall and the Van Horne Ballroom – which will showcase over 60 exhibitor booths offering a wide selection of local and international wines, port, sparkling wines, premium spirits, single malt and blended scotches, specialty liqueurs and import and micro-brewed beer.
