Christmas in the Rockies

Enjoy the holiday splendour of Christmas in Banff, a family oriented afternoon filled with holiday treats and a chance to meet Santa Claus! Kids of all ages will be delighted by kids performers and holiday movies, Christmas activities and crafts, carnival games, face painting, Santa Claus photos and Gingerbread Decorating fun.

Gingerbread House Decorating Demonstration

Gingerbread Houses created by some of Banff’s finest pastry chefs and bakers will be displayed throughout the festival tent. Professional “Chef Mike” will dazzle you with his gingerbread building skills in a demonstration format between 4:00 and 5:00pm.

Gingerbread House Decorating Competition

Try a hand at your own creation in the public competition. Gingerbread kits will be provided ($5 entry fee) beginning at 2:00pm, with all completed entries due at the 6:30pm closing time. Spend a few minutes, or a few hours creating your masterpiece. Our professional guests will be the judges for the following competitive groups:

Family Group - minimum 1 adult plus kids, maximum 4

Friends Group – 14 years and under, maximum 4

Little Friends Group – 7 years and under, maximum 4
