Welcome RVers!

Banff National Park is a dream destination for any driver of an RV. Think wide-open roads, big mountains, wildlife, and clean campgrounds next to rivers and streams in a sprawling, protected wilderness.

The scenic Bow Valley Parkway between Banff and Lake Louise is a must-drive, so be on the look out for elk, deer, mountain sheep, moose, bears, and birds of all descriptions along the road. Stop for a short walk up to Johnston Canyon to see the steep cliffs carved by rushing whitewater and time.

The Icefields Parkway north of Lake Louise has been called the most spectacular drive in the world, with hanging glaciers, cascading waterfalls and clear lakes you can see from the RV windows. Go for a stroll on an actual glacier at the Columbia Icefield or ride on a specially built Ice Explorer bus and learn how the melting waters feed rivers and oceans across North America.

There are so many sights and attractions in Banff and Lake Louise to take in, that – aside from sleeping and driving – the family won’t be spending much time in the RV.
