Logos and Usage Guidelines

Please follow the usage, clear space and minimum size guidelines outlined below. This will ensure that our brand remains consistent across any application. If your issue is not resolved below, please contact Banff Lake Louise Tourism for guidance rather than create a new "standard".

Logo Usage

  • The Banff Lake Louise logo should never be used on noisy or textured backgrounds.
  • The logo should never be cut off, rotated, skewed or distorted in any way.
  • It should never be coloured a different colour other than those indicated, or the letterforms filled with texture or manipulated in any way.

Minimum Clear Space

Keeping the Banff Lake Louise logo isolated from other elements is the key to preserving its legibility and presence. A minimum amount of clear space should always surround the logo, separating it from headlines, text, imagery, or the outside edge of the document or application. More clear space is generally preferable.

On the preferred logo, the minimum amount of clear space on all sides is equal to the height of the letter "B" in "Banff".

A = Height of "B" in Banff

Minimum Size

Logo should never be reduced smaller than 1 inch in diameter when used in print material.

Logo minimum size = 1 inch

The relationship and size of the graphic to the letterforms should not be manually reconstructed or altered in any way to achieve a design solution.

Minimum Size for Product

Logo minimum size for use only on products where available size is less than 1 inch = 0.625 inch (5/8”). One colour or black logo on very small applications for legibility.
