Mountain Travel Symposium Returns to Banff National Park

Banff National Park, Alberta – The Mountain Travel Symposium (MTS) will return to Banff National Park, April 11-17, 2010 at The Fairmont Banff Springs. Banff will set the stage to welcome the largest and longest-running gathering of mountain travel professionals in North America. The week-long event features an educational forum with several major presentations from nationally-known speakers who will cut to the heart of the challenges, and opportunities facing the travel and ski industries, individual breakout sessions, and two separate trade shows with one specifically for tour operators and another one for ski club and ski group organizers. A variety of social events and activities are scheduled throughout the week to provide additional networking opportunities. MTS attracts more than 1,000 participants each year and is firmly established as the single most productive business venue for mountain travel suppliers and buyers.

2010 will mark the second time MTS has been to Alberta. The first time MTS came to Banff was in 2004 and the Banff program is still being touted as one of the best ever for the conference. Event organizer, Michael J. Pierson describes the event as a “premier mountain travel marketplace” because it “brings together such a diverse group of travel professionals.”
