Don’t get snowed – Demand better snow

Banff National Park, Alberta – Banff Lake Louise Tourism will slalom into the 2007/08 winter season with an edge. Dynamic advertisements will awake Londoners in their search for the ultimate winter experience. The bold campaign highlights the exceptional champagne powder of the Canadian Rockies and calls upon consumers to demand more for their next winter getaway.

“Banff and Lake Louise currently attract more than 90,000 skier visits annually from the UK because the ski experience here offers great value, short lift lines, a long ski season and lively après-ski,” says Kurt Schroeder, Director of Sales and Market Development for Banff Lake Louise Tourism. “With lift capacity of more than 42,000 people per hour throughout the three local ski resorts, skiers have plenty of time to explore the 240 trails offered on the mountains….” The first ever campaign of such scope is a collective marketing effort between the communities of Banff and Lake Louise. The program features advertising in cinemas, London Underground, newspapers, radio, taxi wraps, online contests, and gyms. For consumers who are eager to book, in-market tour operators such as Virgin Holidays, Neilson, Canadian Affair, Frontier Ski, Crystal and Inghams guarantee easy and convenient travel arrangements.

An UNESCO World Heritage Site, Banff National Park has over 7,600 acres of downhill ski terrain located in a protected environment, offering skiers an unobstructed view of the surrounding pristine landscapes. In the heart of the Park, Banff and Lake Louise provide a diverse array of après-ski attractions, special events and cultural entertainment for the urban traveller.
