More Room to Meet – The Fox is Up

Banff National Park, Alberta – there’s a new building peaking out from behind the artist-painted boards on Banff Avenue – The Fox is up! In June 2007 the Banff Caribou Properties’ newest building will begin opening in phases and by mid-summer the Fox will provide 117 more rooms in Banff National Park which currently has the capability to host town-wide meetings with approximately 4,600 guest rooms, many suitable and yet unique meeting facilities as well as some intriguing programs for meetings, conventions and incentive travel groups.

Some of the newest programs for meetings will be most appealing for people who are fans of television’s CSI or the DaVinci Code film, lured by a double life as secret agent, or seek new adventures on their own Mount Everest. Using brains and a portable “CSI Lab Kit,” squads of four will solve a murder by determining the scene of the crime and the time. This three-hour episode will challenge players to uncover hidden messages, “analyze” ink samples, track traces of “blood,” decipher messages and piece together a giant puzzle in order to find the killer. Intrigue and history explode with the innovative Banff DaVinci Quest plot, a thrilling three-hour test for the quick-thinking team. Competing groups of players navigate through the area using a map and a passport in order to decode the puzzling cryptex, and reach their ultimate treasure. For the adventurer at hear, the “Mount Everest Challenge” uses team skills, route finding, riddles, puzzle solving and logic to find nine different sites and collect pieces to a puzzle. Starting from Base Camp, this two-hour challenge will ultimately put one member of the team on the summit of the metaphorical tallest mountain in the world.
