Visit the Canadian Rockies and tour over the Athabasca Glacier in a giant Ice Explorer; a once in a lifetime experience. During this unique 90 minute journey, you'll learn how glaciers are formed and see other incredible geological features.
The Columbia Icefield Glacier Experience operates from April 21 to October 17, 2010 inclusive (weather permitting). Tours depart every 15 minutes.
The Columbia Icefield Interpretive Centre, located on the boundary of Banff and Jasper National Parks, offers interpretive exhibits, guided ice walks, self guided trails, dining room, cafeteria, gift shop and over night accommodation.

Cruise from Banff to Lake Louise and stroll along its emerald green shores. After photo stops at Crowfoot Glacier and Peyto Lake, you’ll continue your journey along the magnificent Icefields Parkway. Our knowledgeable and entertaining driver-guides provide commentary on the unique ecosystem and the creation of the glaciers. Finally you’ll arrive at the Columbia Icefield where you'll climb aboard a massive Ice Explorer and journey over centuries of glacial ice . Return to Banff in the late afternoon.
