Our mission is to educate, entertain and give our guests a once in a lifetime experience with the best trained guides, safest tour offerings, friendliest & most beautiful huskies and utmost comfort.

Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours excels in offering you the most unique dog sledding experience in the Canadian Rockies!

Snuggle into cozy sleds with beautiful blankets. Experience the thrill and excitement of driving a team of Canadian Huskies in our majestic Rocky Mountain wilderness.

Imagine your hand-crafted oak sled as it glides down a pristine mountain trail, led by our experienced professional guides.

Let your mind drift as the dogs rhythmic breathing and perfect stride create an ancient Inuit song.

Let us take you into this mystical world of the Original Canadian!!

All our tours begin with a 30 minute Introduction & Instruction where you learn safety, commands and the history of the dog sledding sport. Driving the teams is optional you will need to do a little jogging up some of the small hills to help your dogs. If driving a dog team doesn't appeal to you then perhaps cuddling up in a cozy sled and letting your friends or family drive sounds like a better idea for you. Or you can drive a team with our friendly and experienced guides.

For our 2 hours program, the Powder Hound Express, you will be on this stunning mountain trail for approximately an hour and the remaining time will be spent warming up by our campfire where you can enjoy our famous "Mystery Cookies" and sip hot apple cider sharing your exciting stories with your family and friends.

A very family friendly program is our Snowy Mountain Winter Village (4 hours). After being dog sledding for an hour and the campfire you go snowshoeing to a really nice place where we offer tobogganing and igloo building. We will also tell you something about the tracks and plants you will see on your way and about the Inuit history.

For our 4 hours program, the Sunfeather Winterlude, you will be on the trail for approximately 3 hours with a stop half way for your Native Canadian Campfire Lunch.

For our full day program, the Spirit of the Dogs Society, you will be on the trail for approximately 7 hours with a 30 minute lunch of the trail.

We also offer an unforgettable two days and one night program, the Ghost of Fortune Mountain.

To every tour you can add a helicopter flight and we also offer a Sleigh Ride with a BBQ after you dog sled trip.

The tours starts daily, just call our friendly reservation agents for availibility and prices.
