This summer, we invited a few of the Food Bloggers of Canada to get a little taste of Banff. According to FBC's Ethan Adeland, "...bringing together this group of FBC members and partnering with Banff & Lake Louise Tourism made for the perfect trip. Although it’s food that unites us all, experiencing more of what Banff and Lake Louise has to offer was what really made this trip special. Hiking, paddling, cycling, walking with the mountains all around made us especially hungry to devour what the Banff culinary scene is cooking up and pouring these days."
We asked each blogger to pick out some highlights from their #mybanffFBC visit.

Activity Highlight: Doing the Via Ferrata at Mt. Norquay. It was exhilarating and yet, I felt (mostly) very safe.
Fat Girl Food Squad - @fatgirlfoodsquad
Food highlight: With the menu developed by Chef Guarav Gaba and set in the grand Fairmont Banff Springs, Indian Summer is a dining experience like no other. Question: have you ever dined in a castle? You should.

Activity Highlight: A 7 minute ski lift ride up Mt. Norquay to this incredible view that awaits you. It's the same view you can get from inside the historic (and only recently reopened after 25 years!) Cliff House Bistro.

The Healthy Maven - @thehealthymaven - Davida
Food Highlight: Definitely the meal we enjoyed at the Juniper Hotel. The food was delicious, healthy and beautifully plated. The only thing that gave the food a run for its money was the spectacular view. It was a meal I will never forget!

Activity Highlight: Exploring Banff by townie bikes. It was nice to spend the day being active while also getting a real taste for Banff’s culture and beauty. In particular I loved the view from Vermilion Lakes.

Feeding Ethan - Ethan Adeland
Food Highlight: The menu and meal from the Buffalo Mountain Lodge set the tone for the entire trip. Everything coming from their own farm and those mustard melons, wow!

Acitvity Highlight:Too many to pick a favourite from biking around Banff or hiking Mt. Norquay, seeing wildlife eating berries along the side of the road. But really, it’s just amazing to be surrounded by some of the most impressive mountains you’ll ever come across.
