This tapas and sandwich bar (don’t overlook the mains!), is one of Banff’s newest restaurants. Owned by three locals, Block Kitchen + Bar serves fresh dishes inspired by Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. Chef Stephane Prevost brings his longtime experience in Banff’s restaurant scene to the table. Expect healthy yet indulgent food with bold flavours served on signature bamboo boards. Daily chalkboard specials reflect Prevost’s current inspirations. ATMOSPHERE & ACCOLADES Block Kitchen + Bar has an intimate and trendy vibe with eclectic light fixtures above the large bar, and an impressive wooden wine rack on the wall. The restaurant was voted ‘Best New Restaurant’ by local newspaper readers. Its unique ‘urban rustic’ interior design (with tables cut from a single Douglas fir tree) also landed an article in Canadian Interiors magazine.
