Wine and Dine

Add to my moments

Canadian Rocky Mountain Cuisine

An exceptional concoction of international flavours has emerged on the gastronomic scene of Banff National Park. Amongst the array of local dining options, you’ll find a culinary art unique to Alberta’s mountains: sustainable and regionally sourced Rocky Mountain Cuisine.  A variety of restaurants feature seasonal ingredients that are supplied by local farmers and vendors, guaranteeing a delicious dining experience with a local flair.

  • Arrange a cooking class with one of Banff’s top chefs

Banff’s Own Beer

In 2010, Banff welcomed its very own microbrewery, the Banff Ave. Brewing Company. To make their premium beer, they combine malt, hops and cultured yeast with the glacier-fed water of the Canadian Rockies. They also honour the local history by giving their beers names like Reverend Rundle Stout, Lower Bankhead Black Pilsner and Head Smashed IPA. With a great summertime patio and earth-friendly practices, it’s one of the town’s most popular watering holes for a good reason.

Bring this story to life:

  • Write about the stories behind each of the clever names they’ve given their beers
  • Enjoy suggested beer pairings with some of Banff’s best pub food
