Leslie Bruce participates in tourism round table with newly-appointed President and CEO of Destination Canada

On September 8, Leslie Bruce was invited to participate in a tourism round table with newly-appointed President & CEO of Destination Canada, Marsha Walden. Bruce presented an overview of the work completed from May to August in Banff and Lake Louise, with summer results to date, and an update on planning and forecasting for Q4 and Q1, 2020. Each DMO had a chance to share insights and learnings that will help support the tourism economy both locally and nationally.

Information shared at the round table was then incorporated into a presentation by Walden in the September 9 meeting between key tourism leaders:

Walden stepped into her role as President and CEO of Destination Canada (DC) on August 24. She joined DC from Destination British Columbia where she served as the President and CEO from 2013. There, she successfully led the newly formed provincial Crown corporation to create ground-breaking strategies for tourism development and nationally recognized, data-driven performance marketing.
