Banff National Park knows beer like the place knows its peaks - you can find it served up on mountain tops, in the valley restaurants and on the rooftop patios. Not only is it served in the most scenic and unique locations in the Park, but it's also brewed on Banff Avenue and delivered to these locations in fine form.

Enjoying beers overlooking Rocky Mountain vistas from Mt. Norquay's Cliffhouse Bistro atop their sightseeing lift, The Whitehorn Bistro restaurant and patio overlooking Lake Louise, or at the Banff Gondola's Sky Bistro are some of the best ways to enjoy beer in Banff National Park.

Established in 2010, Banff Ave. Brewing Company uses some of the world’s best wheat and barley grown right here in Alberta - in fact, these are both the #1 exports and if you were to brew beer with all of it, you'd have 18.5 billion bottles of beer. Combine these ingredients with the glacial fresh water that comes out of Banff's taps, and you have award winning beer.

The founders of the Banff Ave Brewing Company hold strong social values to their work - they believe "you take care of the locals, they'll take care of you". The establishment is always a big community supporter and has a monthly 'community tap' beer where $1 of each pint goes towards the given cause. Recently they had a 'Rescue Red Ale' which then funded the purchase of an AED in Banff. Whether it's trying their sampler flights, après after an activity, or lounging at a sky-high view enjoying a local bottle or pint, the Banff Ave Brewing Company has you covered.

Another establishment in town to not only find the Banff Avenue Brewing Company's beer at but dozens of others is High Rollers in Banff - pins, pints, and pizza! This groovy bowling alley - beer hall is the place to get 48 beers on tap, brick oven pizza, and 10-pin bowling complete with a DJ and dance floor on select nights. Sample Canadian and American craft brews and settle into some arcade games and bowling.

Banff knows beer, so much so that the world’s most beautiful beer festival, Banff Craft Beer Festival, is held annually in the month of November, providing samples of some of Alberta's best brews.
