Canada Strong Pass

From June 20 to September 2, 2025, admission to Banff National Park is FREE for all visitors through the Canada Strong Pass initiative. No entry pass is needed to explore Banff National Park during this time. For more information visit our FAQ's.

Already Have a Discovery Pass?

Discovery Passes are normally valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If you have a Parks Canada Discovery Pass valid for June, July, and/or August 2025, Parks Canada will automatically extend the pass for an additional 3 months under the Canada Strong Pass. For example, a pass that has an original expiry date of July 2025 will now expire in October 2025. No action is required to get the extension.
