Town of Banff

The Town of Banff is the municipal government that provides all civic services for visitors and residents within the four square-kilometre area of the town. As the service centre in the heart of Canada's first national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Town is a model environmental community, with a primary goal to preserve and protect this special place. Incorporated in 1990 with an elected Council, the Town exists to welcome visitors from around the world with an outstanding experience in our mountain community. The range of services includes trails and parks, water and waste management services, streets and sidewalk maintenance, development oversight, public buildings, special events, recreation amenities, and community support services.
