Winter is here, and the world is gathering for the first circuit of the Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup. Celebrate the kick-off to the season by joining some of our Lake Louise businesses for culinary delights, exhilarating winter sports, or relaxing cultural experiences.

Baker Creek, named after an early 19th-century gold prospector, has some beautiful trails that come alive with winter. Stop by our front office for complimentary snowshoe rentals to explore the old growth forests, and tread the path of the early pioneers.

Come and delight in authentic Canadian cuisine from locally and regionally sourced ingredients. Deer Lodge

On Saturday, December 1, guests can indulge in a bit of Apres Ski and warm themselves up from the inside out. We encourage guests to taste some of the local cuisines, including elk and bison raised on our own CRMR Game Ranch, as well as sip from a boutique wine list or craft beer list that features local Alberta brews. Kingmik Dog Sled Tours

Opening day for the 2018/19 season is November 30!

Join the Kingmik team at their staging area on December 1, located at the Great Divide Trailhead and Parking Area just off Lake Louise Drive as you head up to upper Lake Louise. Staff will be there from 9:30am - 2:30pm where you can meet the dogs and learn about this classic Canadian experience.

Kids Ski Free on Race Day

Buy an adult lift ticket at Lake Louise Ski Resort and get two free for kids 12 and under (kids must be present).

Scenic Snowshoe Tours 

November 23 onwards, 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m.

Enjoy breathtaking views while taking your first steps in snowshoes. This "introduction to snowshoeing" tour will take you to the top of the mountain to experience a view previously only accessible to skiers and snowboarders.

Our certified guides will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of our history, the landscape, and wildlife of Lake Louise. Enjoy breathtaking views while taking your first steps in snowshoes.

Art in the Park: Celebrating Ski Culture

December 1, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Join Art with Mindy at the Lake Louise Ski Resort to celebrate the start of the ski season. In this paint session, you'll be guided through the steps to design your winter season on canvas. No previous art experience is necessary to join as Mindy's classes are for all levels to explore painting with acrylics. Take your completed artwork home and have a reminder that the mountains are calling to come and play!

Cheer on your favourite skiers in the Downhill and Super-G races of the first leg of the World Cup circuit.
