Snow Sculptures

Snow Days, Banff National Park
Dan Evans

An Outdoor Gallery of Winter Art

January 15 - 26, 2020 - FREE

A competition of mastery and an outdoor gallery of awesome size and grandeur transforms Bear Street in the heart of Banff. During the first days of the festival, talented sculptors contour enormous blocks of snow into works of art, competing for the number one spot and coveted People’s Choice Award. Come applaud their skill during the live event or admire the fantastic sculptures that preside over town during the remainder of SnowDays.

The annual SnowDays Snow Sculpture Competition and Exhibition is a highlight of the winter season in Banff National Park; a free 12-day long event held during January, centered around massive snow sculptures in downtown Banff. Occurring at the same time as the Ice Magic Festival in Lake Louise, you’ll have plenty of winter creations to explore throughout the park.
