Carter-Ryan Gallery and Live Art

The Carter-Ryan Gallery and Live Art Venue celebrates the work of acclaimed Indigenous Soapstone Sculptor and Painter Jason Carter, an Alberta artist whose work is prominently featured in the new Calgary International Airport, amongst other notable public art places throughout Canada, US, Japan and Europe. Bold' and 'brilliant' are two words that have often been used to describe this prolific visual artists paintings. Jason's incredible unique approach to carvings in Canadian Soapstone, Wonderstone and Alabaster have put him on the map. The gallery also features the WHO IS BOO BOOK children’s series, illustrated by Jason and written by Bridget Ryan, who is the force behind Banff Live Theatre, home to world-class theatre at various venues in Banff, such as Lux Theatre and at the Banff Springs.
