Alpine Raclette Dinner for Two

Winter in Banff calls for comfort, connection and a little cheese — and our Alpine Raclette Dinner for Two delivers all three.

As part of Banff SnowDays, The Fat Ox is hosting a one-night-only dining experience inspired by alpine traditions and built around the warmth and richness of raclette cheese. Designed for sharing, this three-course dinner combines Canadian ingredients, classic Alpine flavours, and a cozy mountain atmosphere.

The evening begins with a rustic raclette board, featuring a chef’s selection of house-made pickles, prosciutto di Parma, bison bresaola, Tuscan-style salami and freshly baked house bread — the perfect start to a relaxed winter night.

For the main course, guests can choose between Alberta beef striploin or herb-marinated chicken, both finished with a velvety alpine cheese sauce. Each plate is served with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, including cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and roasted celery root, for a comforting and well-balanced dish.

The experience concludes with raclette fondue, paired with carefully selected wines highlighting the best of alpine-inspired vino, with an optional upgraded pairing available.
