Canadian Mountain Assessment Book Launch and Reception

In collaboration with the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, the Whyte Museum invites you to join the Canadian Mountain Assessment book launch and reception. The Canadian Mountain Assessment (CMA) represents the first formal assessment of what we know, do not know, and need to know about mountain systems in Canada. The book brings together insights from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit knowledges of mountains, as well as findings from an extensive assessment of pertinent academic literature. Join us for the release of this landmark assessment, where contributors will discuss the CMA’s unique approach to knowledge assessment and co-creation, as well as the assessment's key findings and recommendations. A reception is to follow the launch, providing an opportunity to speak with contributors, as well as access to a cash bar and light appetizers. Registration is required.
