Join the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies for a plein air painting weekend, as part of the first annual Come Paint Alberta arts festival circuit, an artist-led collaborative project celebrating Alberta's breathtaking landscapes. Immerse yourself in the rich artistic tradition of plein air painting and let the magic of Alberta's natural beauty inspire your creative spirit.
This two-day event takes place at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies and areas throughout Banff National Park, and includes guided tours of the heritage home and paintings of Peter and Catharine Whyte. A plein air workshop will be facilitated by local artist Wendy Bradley on the Whyte Museum grounds, as well as a catered lunch. Enjoy time on day two for self-guided plein air painting sessions. Follow in the footsteps and brushstrokes of Peter and Catharine with our recommended locations.
