Flying Canoë Volant
Experience the magic of Flying Canoë Volant as it arrives in Banff for the first time in 2026. Inspired by the legend of The Flying Canoe and shaped by French Canadian, First Nations, and Métis traditions, this enchanting winter festival transforms Central Park into a glowing landscape of light, story, music, and movement. Wander illuminated pathways, discover interactive artworks, and feel the spirit of winter come alive through creative expression.
Gather inside Tipis, a Trapper’s tent and a dome for rich Indigenous and Francophone-Métis cultural programming, from storytelling and song to hands‑on engagement. Join us for a luminous celebration of culture, community, and winter wonder.
Celebrate even more French Canadian flavour during the event and stop by the Cabane à Sucre pop‑up at Banff Social on February 28 for maple treats and cozy Québec‑inspired fun.
