National Indigenous Peoples Day

This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and ongoing contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

In Banff Central Park, The Town of Banff will host performances, food tastings, cultural conversations and more, all free and accessible to residents and visitors, with the collaboration of the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.

Overview of events:

  • Indigenous Market : 12 - 6 pm
  • Indigenous Cultural Space: 1 - 6 pm
  • Taste of Cultures: 2 - 5pm
  • Jah'kota Concert at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity: 7:30 (tickets are free and must be reserved in advance)
