Cross-Country Ski Lessons

“It’s just like going for a walk, but on skis.” This is what local kids are told when they first clip into cross-country skis and the same is true for first-time skiers of any age. To make the most of your time on what we affectionally call “skinny skis”, sign up for a lesson with a qualified instructor. They’ll help you understand the magic of the movements of skiing, and in no time you’ll be gliding along the well-groomed trails.

Local Tips

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch out your arms and legs so you can make the most of each stride.

  • Local rental shops in Banff and Lake Louise will ensure you’re properly fitted for skis, boots and poles.

  • Your instructor will likely suggest a good stretching session when you get home, and we agree!
