Silverton Falls Trail
Silverton Falls is the kind of hike that defines “short and sweet.” At less than 2 km (round trip) this jaunt doesn’t always make the lists of must-do hikes in the Rockies. Really though, this makes it an even more desirable destination –quieter than neighboring trails, with a grand finale that’s definitely worth the walk. The hike begins with an easy stroll through the forest before reaching a couple of steep switchbacks leading to the 50-metre high waterfall – saving the best for last!

Local Tips
Silverton Falls trailhead is shared with the better-known Rockbound Lake trail. Look out for the sign to turn right towards the falls about 300 metres down the trail.
Be cautious on the slightly exposed rocky sections near the waterfall viewing area.
This place has history – Silverton was once home to a mining village dating back to the late 19th century.
