
Rampart Creek Campground
Rampart Creek Campground in Banff National Park is located 90 kilometres north of the Village of Lake Louise on the beautiful Icefields Parkway. This campground offers a secluded and rustic camping experience 20 minutes from the Columbia Icefields with quick access to the hiking trails along the Icefields Parkway.
The campground has dry toilets, a picnic shelter, food lockers for walk-in campers, and solar treated potable water (no RV fill). RV campers can fill potable water and use the sani-dump station located at Waterfowl Lakes Campground. Firewood is provided. There is no cell-phone coverage.
All 51 campsites are reservable and have picnic tables. Campsites are unserviced and best suited for tents, or motorhomes and trailers up to 10 meters (35 feet). Note that some loops are not suitable for motorhomes or trailers over 8 meters (25 feet). All tents and vehicles must be parked on the gravel area of the campsite.
Important Notices: A maximum of 6 people per campsite, with maximum 2 tents and 2 cars; or 1 RV/camper, 1 tent, and 1 car permitted per site. There is an alcohol and fire ban in effect from 2300 - 0700 every day. A total alcohol ban is in effect on all long weekends at all campgrounds in Banff, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. Check-out time is 1100. The maximum stay is 14 days.
