Skoki Lodge
Skoki is a backcountry lodge, situated in the high alpine of Banff National Park, only accessible by hiking or skiing the 11km, which begins at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Guests enjoy a wilderness/mountain experience at the lodge. Activities include cross-country and telemark skiing during the winter and hiking, climbing, fishing, photography and horseback riding in the summer. Skoki appeals to people of all ages and abilities. Once at the lodge, guests may laze about the fireplace in the living room or go exploring the accessible mountain ridges, peaks and adjoining valleys.Season: For Skiing- December 18 - April 10For Hiking- June 25 - September 25The accommodation is a rustic lodge, built in 1930, and the three surrounding cabins provide accommodation for 22 guests. Down comforters, flannel sheets, towels and washbasins are provided. Heat is maintained by woodstoves, coal stoves or propane heats. Lighting is with kerosene lamps and outhouses for toilet facilities. Upon arrival all guests may have tea, juice and baked goods. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet style (limited quantities) and they are always great! Bread is made fresh daily at the lodge. Lunch is a build-it-yourself buffet set out after breakfast.
