Waterfowl Lakes Campground
Located along the Icefields Parkway, Waterfowl Lakes Campground sits between Upper and Lower Waterfowl lakes on the Mistaya River. These stunning glacier-fed lakes are excellent for paddling while taking in the surrounding mountains. This campground is a good option for campers wanting a more authentic camping experience. Spectacular scenery, hiking trails and opportunities to view wildlife are close by.
The campground has dry toilets, 1 washroom with flush toilets and hot and cold running water. There are picnic shelters, food lockers for walk-in campers, and a sani-dump in the campground. Firewood is provided. There is no cell-phone coverage.
All 110 campsites have picnic tables and fireboxes. Camping is on a first come, first serve basis only. Campsites are unserviced and are best suited for tents, or motorhomes and trailers up to 9 meters (31 feet). All tents and vehicles must be set up or parked on the gravel area of the campsite.
Important Notices: A maximum of 6 people per campsite, with maximum 2 tents and 2 cars; or 1 RV/camper, 1 tent, and 1 car permitted per site. There is an alcohol and fire ban in effect from 2300 - 0700 every day. A total alcohol ban is in effect on all long weekends at all campgrounds in Banff, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. Check-out time is 1100. The maximum stay is 14 days.
