Consolation Lakes Trail

Moraine Lake may be a destination in itself, but it’s also the jumping-off point for a treasure hunt of trails that lead into the mountains. The twin waters of Consolation Lakes await explorers who are willing to venture beyond the boulders of the Rockpile to new discoveries.

Walk through the forest and watch for a glint of turquoise water ahead, signalling a change in the landscape to the wide-open views around Lower Consolation Lake. Push on the short distance to the tranquillity and peace of the Upper Lake – it’s well worth it.
