Paddle Johnson Lake
By Canadian Rockies standards, Johnson Lake could be considered a small lake. Of course, around here, standards are rather high. Johnson Lake has the “warmest” water of the lakes around Banff and is a picturesque playground for paddling adventurers.
With the sun shining down on your shoulders and radiating off the ripples in the water, it’s delightfully tempting to dip a toe (or maybe more) into the refreshing alpine water. Pause for a moment in the middle of the lake and lookup for a unique angle of Cascade Mountain watching over the surroundings.
