  • Read the interpretive signs located along the trail to learn more about the history of the area.

  • In winter we recommend wearing crampons or micro spikes as the trail get's icy when it's snow covered.

Getting There

  • Walk: The trailhead is within walking distance of downtown Banff and most hotels. Allow an extra 15 to 30 minutes each way.

  • Transit: Roam Public Transit Route 7 operates in fall and winter, with a stop at the Banff Centre. From there, it's a short walk to the trailhead.

  • Parking: Paid parking is required at the trailhead. Visit the Banff Centre website for parking rates and information.
