Choose to Reuse: Participate in the Banff Borrows Reusable Cup Program
In a 2023 Recycling Council of Alberta Waste Audit of public garbage bins in Banff, 18% of the waste was attributed to single-use cups. This equated to approximately 1000+ throw away coffee cups per day.
As a national park community, we are taking a coordinated approach to reusables, starting with cups. Join Wildflour, Little Wild, Second Cup, Sudden Sally, Downtown Sally, and the Rimrock Resort Hotel in being part of the solution to reducing waste in the national park with the Banff Borrow Reusable Cup Program.
What is this program?
The Banff Borrows Reusable Cup Program is a new program that will help reduce waste in Banff National Park. This is an opportunity for Banff businesses who serve to-go beverages in disposable cups to offer visitors and residents the option of a reusable cup if they do not have their own.
How can your business get involved?
If you are a Banff business that would like to participate in this initiative, please complete the form on the operators' page.
