Who We Are
Banff & Lake Louise Tourism is the destination marketing organization for the Town of Banff, the Hamlet of Lake Louise and Banff National Park. Our role is to inspire visitors to choose Banff National Park as their preferred travel destination.
Board of Directors
Banff & Lake Louise Tourism (BLLT) is a member-based organization governed by a Board of Directors. The board consists of twelve elected members, each of whom is elected by a defined business category, and two appointed Directors, one representing Parks Canada and one representing the Town of Banff. The responsibilities of the Board of Directors are for the overall management and control of BLLT subject to the Bureau By-Laws.
Director Elections 2025
Banff & Lake Louise Tourism is a member-based organization governed by a Board of Directors. The board consists of twelve elected members, each of whom is elected by a defined business category or business area, and two appointed directors, one representing Parks Canada and the other the Town of Banff.
For 2025, elections are declared for vacancies on the Board of Directors for the:
- Lodging Business Category (3-year term)
- Restaurant & Bar Business Category (3-year term)
- Service Business Category (3-year term)
- Retail Business Category (3-year term)
- Improvement District No. 9 (ID9) Business Area (3-year term)
- Lake Louise Business Area (3-year term)
Important Dates
Nominations Period: Thursday, January 30 - Friday, February 14, 2025
In the event we receive more than one nomination per available position, elections specific to that Business Category/Area will run February 24 - March 14, 2025.
Terms Commence: At the conclusion of the 2025 AGM on April 29

History
The Banff/Lake Louise Tourism Bureau was incorporated in November 1991 with the support of the local business community. Its founding purposes were to market Banff National Park as a world class year-round destination and provide destination marketing, public relations, and visitor information services.
