Located at the Cave and Basin National Historic Site.

Christmas in Banff and Lake Louise

January

Every January, Banff and Lake Louise come alive with the vibrant SnowDays celebration. The streets of downtown Banff transform into a winter wonderland, showcasing larger-than-life snow sculptures, while Lake Louise dazzles with its stunning ice sculptures during Ice Magic. The thrill of skijoring electrifies the atmosphere, with excited onlookers lining Banff Avenue to catch the action.

Banff Marathon

June

The Banff Half Marathon and 10K offers one of the planets’ most incredible and beautiful running experiences in Banff, Alberta - Canada's first National Park. Starting in the picturesque mountain town of Banff, participants will flow through a series of incredible natural, wildlife, and historical stages as they pass by the serene Vermilion Lakes, Legacy Trail and Bow Valley Parkway. The return trek will travel back alongside Vermilion Lakes and the Bow River to cheering crowds in Banff’s downtown Central Park.
